The expeditions
Are the tours private?
Yes. Our expeditions are designed as private trips for solo travellers, couples, friends, families and small groups. You will not be placed onto a large generic coach tour.
Which expedition should I choose?
Choose the 1 Day Bishkek and Beyond if you are short on time, the 3–4 Day Nomadic Expedition for the best balance of scenery, culture and adventure, or the 7 Day Ultimate Adventure if you want a deeper week-long journey across the country.
Can the route be customised?
Yes. Routes can often be adjusted around your dates, interests, photography goals, comfort level and travel style. Some changes may affect price or availability.
Is Song-Kul always included in the 7-day tour?
No. Song-Kul is seasonal and depends on road, weather and accommodation conditions. If access is not suitable, an alternative mountain yurt camp or scenic region will be recommended.
What type of accommodation is used?
Multi-day tours usually use a mix of local guesthouses, yurt-style stays and small family-run accommodation. The focus is comfort, atmosphere, location and local character rather than large hotel luxury.
Booking and pricing
Can solo travellers book?
Yes. Solo travellers are welcome. Pricing is usually higher for solo trips because transport, guiding and logistics are not shared with other travellers.
How do I book?
Send your preferred dates, group size and chosen expedition using the enquiry form, or email us directly. We will confirm availability, recommend the best route, provide a final quote and explain the next steps.
What is included?
Inclusions vary by route, but typically include private transport, driver/guide support, route planning, listed accommodation on multi-day tours, selected meals, entry fees, bottled water and listed activities such as horse riding or cultural experiences.
What is not included?
International flights, travel insurance, visas if required, alcohol, personal spending, tips, optional upgrades and any activities not listed in your confirmed itinerary are not included.
Are meals included?
Selected meals are included depending on the tour. Multi-day routes usually include breakfasts and some lunches or dinners. Exact meal inclusions will be confirmed before booking.
Practical questions
When is the best time to visit Kyrgyzstan?
The main travel season is generally April to October, with summer best for high mountain access and lake experiences. Spring and autumn are excellent for photography, cooler weather and fewer crowds. Some winter routes may be possible on request.
Do I need horse riding experience?
No. Horse riding experiences can be arranged for beginners, with local support and a relaxed pace. More confident riders can request longer or more adventurous riding options where available.
What should I pack?
Bring comfortable walking shoes, warm layers, waterproof jacket, sun protection, reusable water bottle, small day bag, swimwear for hot springs, power bank, camera and any personal medication. A more comprehensive list will be provided to you when you book your expedition.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes. Travellers should arrange suitable travel insurance covering Kyrgyzstan, medical care, trip disruption and any adventure activities they plan to join.
